Canyon Road Walks for Alexandria House!

March 24, 2022

The Pack spent Sunday March 13th participating in Alexandria House's 5K Walkathon at the Doheny Campus of Mount Saint Mary's University.

In their own words: "Founded in 1996, Alexandria House is a transitional residence and house of hospitality. They provide safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to economic stability and permanent housing."

After checking in, a few speeches, and a light warm-up, we were off!

We walked with many other participants to raise money for Alexandria House. The path was sprinkled with motivational posters, music, and informative signs detailing facts about the homeless crisis in Los Angeles.  We enjoyed the good weather, the beautiful campus, and the supportive energy from the community.

All in all, it was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning!
